Hi Tom, I tried a variety of hues and densities of blue. What do you mean by "hold it up to the periphery of the eye at the temple"? I can't envision how the glass is to be held. In the videotape they had the patient look head-on at a piece of blue cardboard and even that worked. Can you suggest a source for me to obtain a piece of the glass that worked for you? What do you mean by "transient" in this context... An hour, a week. a month? From where did that videotape come? I saw no references or credits associated with the producers of that tape. I don't mean to be cynical, but I find it difficult to reconcile all of my blue glass efforts with the fact that I experienced ZERO effects on any of my PD symptoms, no matter what I tried. Tom, I'll appreciate receiving any and all additional info and input you might supply. Thank you very much, Bill --------------Original Message-----------------------------------------> From: Parkinson's Information Exchange Network On Behalf Of Tom Riess Sent: Thursday, May 31, 2007 12:21 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: blue lenses I've been lurking on the list for many years. It's been a long time since I've sent a message to the list but when I saw the skeptical comment re blue glass I felt compelled to write. I descovered the effect of blue filters on dyskinesia about 12 years ago. The impact is dramatic. For optimal results the lens should be what I would describe as a deep sky blue and held up to the periphery of the eye (at the temple). I stopped exploring this phenomenon when I realized that the impact was transient and was not effective in all people with dyskinesia. But when it works (as in the video) it is very impressive. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off Parkinsn send a message to: mailto:[log in to unmask] In the body of the message put: signoff parkinsn
