I had no idea that althzhemiers [what a word to try to spell, ugh] was an automatic by-product of retirement, but now I appear to be living proof. I am also trying to prepare myself for teaching in China this Fall and have been trying to take care of any number of "membersgip" and like items. It is no faster if I do them all twice, but I do have the time.

I already have you and your colleague in Costa Rica (Jonathan Solana?) on the members' list for 2007. I'm out of the office, so can't check whether I received your dues directly or whether you were one of a few who sent them to Patricia Golubev at U of T. If you sent them to me, I would have sent you a receipt and have a record of that in the office. If you sent them to Patricia, she just sent me your names and should have deposited your cheque in the U of T account. Dues cover the calendar year from Jan to Dec.
Patricia will be taking over the duties of treasurer at the end of the summer, and an announcement will be made on the list.
