*Limited Term Lecturer - Foundations of Academic Literacy
*
The Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University is seeking to hire one
full time (1.0) Limited Term Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses and to
assist with coordination and curriculum development of FAL X99 – Foundations
of Academic Literacy.

*Duties:
*The position involves four teaching assignments and administrative
responsibilities to the program during each of the two years. Teaching
assignments will be primarily drawn from the scheduled sections of FAL X99.
Courses and other related duties may be situated in either the Burnaby or
Surrey campus. Other related duties as assigned.

*Qualifications:*
• Doctoral degree completed in the area of Education or Applied Linguistics,
ideally with a focus on Academic Literacy
• Experience in program coordination and curriculum development
• Experience in teaching academic literacy to learners making the transition
from high school to post-secondary level studies, or a related equivalent
preferred
• Strong scholarly and written abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
