I have long-lasting open wounds on my lower arms and lower legs... A couple have been there for well over a year.  My dermatologist didn't think there was anything to worry about.  He gave me the impression it might be related to the PD.

I'll have to ask my neuro the next time I go to visit him.

It may be due to poor blood circulation. A well irrigated wound heals quickly but in the legs, particularly if you don´t move much, there is venous stagnation and poor healing Maryse cg JOhn 78,18
