Fascinating article. My daughter was diagnosed at 15. That's because she
was already stage 2/3.
She functions like a stage 1-2 patient a couple hours a day and the rest of
the time, not so good.

What would happen to a patient who had dementia if they did the DBS? Are
there any different surgeries coming? Does anyone in this list have a vagus
nerve bridge?

The dementia and the fact that head injury caused her PD is a problem, but
right now the Drs are feeling her dementia is exacerbated by schizophrenia
which no one in my family has. (they are mostly alcoholics) She and I don't
do alcohol, and I would ever want to push someone into an unsafe procedure,
but the symptoms are merciless and many people say their lives have improved
so much after having this done.

always looking for you to tell me the good , the bad, even the ugly.
