I agree, Maryse, but there are probably restrictions on patients "treating'"
themselves.  You know how you are always supposed to  "check with your
doctor".  I would be dead if I had done that. While I respect them when they
know what they're doing, most have no idea what we experience.  If I could
infiltrate the seminars and learn what to do I wouldn't hesitate.  It is our
lives.   Some patients are very passive and seem to enjoy being ignorant or
cared-for to their own detriment.  But then again maybe they are better off
than me.  I don't know.

I find it difficult to understand how a physician would know better than the
patient when the setting is OK
