Thanks, Nina, for the speedy response. My case is further complicated by a fall I took recovering from knee replacement surgery. It was then that they discovered that I had severe osteoporosis which made my bones too soft and brittle to anchor any prostheses and straighten my spine. The fall resulted in crushed vertebrae...) I am nearing the end of an 18-month morning-injections regimen the end of which should see my bone density increased to allow for the spinal surgery. At first I shied away from spinal surgery because of its risk but time has changed my mind. The risk is worth the reward.
