Thanks, Nina, for the speedy response. My case is further complicated
by a fall I took recovering from knee replacement surgery. It was then
that they discovered that I had severe osteoporosis which made my
bones too soft and brittle to anchor any prostheses and straighten my
spine. The fall resulted in crushed vertebrae...) I am nearing the end
of an 18-month morning-injections regimen the end of which should see
my bone density increased to allow for the spinal surgery. At first I
shied away from spinal surgery because of its risk but time has
changed my mind. The risk is worth the reward.

I will discuss the botox route with my neurologist and let you -- and
the list -- know of any further develpments.

And I love your line "Circumstances...) I have reprinted it and placed
it alongside my bathroom mirror!
