Just to let you know that the editor likes it and is "leaning toward" printing it an an "in my opinion" piece in June rather than as a letter, for which it would be far too long.
She remarks, btw, that it is "well written" -- I'm glad that an outsider doesn't see signs of writing-by-committee!!
