Thank you for writing, e-mailing, and calling your Senators about the Neurotoxin Exposure Treatment Research Parkinson's (NETRP) Dear Colleague funding letter. Because of your hard work, we secured 27 signatures on the Senate Dear Colleague funding letter.

The Senate Dear Colleague letter will be sent to the Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, led by Chairman Daniel Inouye and Ranking Member Ted Stevens. The Subcommittee will soon meet to establish the Senate funding level for the NETRP program and the entire Defense bill. PAN is hopeful that the NETRP program will receive funding in the Senate Defense bill this year.

The following Senators signed onto the Senate NETRP Dear Colleague: Akaka, Baucus, Biden, Bingaman, Boxer, Brown, Cardin, Casey, Coleman, Dodd, Dole, Domenici, Durbin, Hagel, Johnson, Kerry, Klobuchar, Lautenberg, Lieberman, Menendez, Reed, Salazar, Sanders, Smith, Stabenow, Tester, and Wyden.

If your Senator(s) signed onto the NETRP Dear Colleague, please thank them for supporting Parkinson's disease research at the Department of Defense. If your Senator(s) did not sign on, please express your disappointment and ask them to work with the Appropriations Defense Subcommittee to fund the NETRP program in the Senate bill. Our system will provide you with the proper e-mail that reflects your Senator's sign-on status.

                  Take Action
