The Ron and Jane Graham Centre, University of Saskatchewan, invites applications for two full-time, without-term positions in *Rhetoric and Professional Communication*, at the rank of Lecturer, to begin 1 July 2008 or shortly thereafter. Founded in 2006, the Graham Centre is quickly becoming a national leader in the study of human communication, and we anticipate continuing growth in our undergraduate and graduate programming. In addition to delivering a multi-sectioned required course in communication for undergraduates in a variety of professional programs, the Graham Centre currently offers a rhetorically-grounded Communication Option for undergraduates and features a thriving graduate programme in rhetoric, offering both MA and PhD degrees. Our innovative Master of Professional Communication degree program is planned for launch in summer of 2009. We offer a vibrant, dedicated intellectual community with a strong commitment to outstanding teaching. Also desirable are experience teaching students in professional programs; experience in team teaching; willingness to participate in faculty mentoring initiatives; and a record of involvement in innovative teaching/programming and its implementation. Interested applicants should submit a curriculum vitae and an application letter that explicitly addresses their suitability for a position teaching rhetoric and professional communication. The application should also include the following documents: * evidence of effective teaching in the form of evaluations or observation reports; * a statement describing the candidate’s approach to teaching; * transcripts showing relevant course work in rhetoric or communication; * a written statement of no more than 750 words that discusses the relevance of rhetoric to the study and teaching of professional communication.
