The Department is looking for a humanities-based writing specialist to develop and coordinate HUMA01: Key Questions in the Humanities. HUMA01 is a new course that will introduce first-year students to the approach, content and depth of humanities through the study of text, image and sound, and at the same time foster their academic communication skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—through guided practice. The successful candidate will have experience managing large courses, using interactive teaching methods, teaching critical thinking and academic communication (particularly writing), designing teaching modules and course materials, and training teaching assistants. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a relevant area and must demonstrate teaching excellence. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
