The US already lags behind the UK, China, Singapore, Israel and Australia in 
embryonic stem cell research due to lack of federal support according to 
posts I just put on PIEN.  Don Reed  is probably showing foresight in 
studying Mandarin.  Your speaking seven languages is really something to be 
proud of.

I hope PWP understand just how anti-science the Republican Party has become 
in the last 7-8 years.  I guess it has been coming on for awhile due to the 
growing influence of the religious right, but think it is so important that 
people understand where they stand when they vote this November.
