James,
I agree with Nancy.  My sister's husband began to lose his hair very early
and when he was about your age, he too decided to go the Yul Brynner way and
it really suited him.  You are probably too young to know this, but Yul
Brynner looked extremely sexy with his clean-shaven head!  My brother-in-law
suddenly acquired a different persona which has stayed with him now for
nearly 40 years.  So don't worry about the thinning hair.  You can turn it
to your advantage.
