Mirapex was a nightmare for me. I thought that I was losing my mind. I couldn't keep a thought, couldn't think of the right word and I also feared that I couldn't even count my change. It is known for causing excessive behavior like gambling but for me if was over eating and sex. The later wasn't so bad for my husband! All of those side effects stopped when we d'cd the Mirapex. I was dx in 6/03 and haven't needed to increase my meds at all for all these years. I take Stalveo 100 mg and Artane 5 mgs three times per day. I am fine, I don't show any PD symptoms to the layperson at least but I do have cervical dystonia (severe neck muscle spasms) I see a movement disorder specialist and use Botox shots quarterly to relieve muscle spasms.
