I am 55 and when I was first dx w/ PD (at age 51), I took Mirapex. It was a very bad drug for me. Weight gain, confusion, and compulsions got the better of me. I really thought that I had lost my mind. I didn't even count change properly. All that went away when I stopped taking Mirapex. I now take Stalevo and Artane and all is well. I hope this helps.
