After reading the initial posting of this article, I began to copy the text for my own use and then decided that I wanted to obtain the original article. A quick Google search led me to the original publication. I ordered a back copy online at a cost of US $6.95 including mailing. It was to honor the copyrights of the authors and to access the full article including illustrations, bibliography, and the vita of the authors (all omitted from the original posting due to space considerations). Thanks to Rayilyn and PIEN we have access to this helpful article. I received the issue of American Scientist for May-June 2008 on 8/13/08. The full article has numerous illustrations of the text and documentation on the background of the writers. The article was "The Neglected Side of Parkinson's Disease" by Ted L. Rothstein and C. Warren Olanow. Both authors have good academic and medical vita and are currently employed. Dr. Rothstein "directs medical student training in adult neurology, along with the department's movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and dementia programs", at George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Dr Olanow is "the Henry P. and Georgette Goldschmidt Professor and chairman of the Department of Neurology and professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. He is also the Chief of the Neurosurgery Service at the Mount Sinai Hospital." American Scientist, Volume 96, Number 3, May-June 2008, p.218-225. Need I mention that the publisher restricts copying of articles to a single copy for personal use without the permission of the publisher. To do otherwise is to violate American copyright laws. To access the online site visit: http://www.americanscientist.org/about/rss.aspx P.S. this issue also included many other topics of related interest. I am very glad I ordered that issue. It is worth every cent spent.
