Just tell your story, whatever it may be, they will respond, if they have a soul. You are or will be out of the work force, no taxes(if they only economically), rate for Disability rises, and baby boomers just coming up with put a tremendous burden on gov. You are affected, family, cannot do all the things you used to, etc........just act as if you were talking to a friend, let them know how terrible this is and how you have to cope. This is not whining, just telling the truth, husband was like this, would never whine or beg, but I was willing to give them a picture of what life was really like.
