Nigel, good day. I was diagnosed with PD at age 61. I had to quit working  the following year due to the effects. I filed for SS disability and was denied. Have you filed or know of anyone that has and given SS disability due to PD? I was using methanol / paint reducer chemical type products in marine painting and my wife thinks that this exposure ma have been the trigger to bring on PD.
Regards,
John

Hi,
I have had PD now for 19 years, at the time of diagnosis I was working as a
Quality Technician for a soft drinks maker and was exposed on a daily basis to
both Aspartame and Methanol, the Aspartame being a key ingredient in the "
Diet" and "Slimline" product ranges, and the Methanol was used in
two testing applications. both of which resulted in me breathing the fumes.
I have often wondered if the exposure to Methanol may have played a part in my
PD, I guess I will never know for sure.

Nigel Harland.
