What Joan Herman wrote is all true, I was there with John McCain, when he
supported Parkinson's and it was not popular to do that. He attended our
functions in Washington DC, in the 90's and was a huge help to us for the Udall
bill, which began our intrusion into federal funding.. The problem is that
most of you have not been around long enough to know this.
When we began PAN, and this is an old story, Joan Samuelson had 50 people
to begin lobbying congress for the Udall Bill, I know, because Brig and I
were among them.
I know I am one of the people who does not like the politics on this list,
and it is NOT THAT, it is the comments, if you just give the facts, great,
everyone can make up their own minds.

As a former journalism major, teacher, caregiver, and small business
owner, plus Parkinson's Advocate for 18 years, I appalled at all the personal
comments added to the news and well as other media releases.
When I post, these are MY OPINIONS , just mine, I represent no organization,
 opinions are my own.
BTW, I toured a lab at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill, run by Dr. Craig
Cady,Ph.D. An amazing man, there is HOPE, he is using cord blood, stem
cells, etc. And his lovely wife is a researcher in ovarian cancer, using stem
cells. Was I impressed, and I don't impress easily, these are wonderful
people, doing wonderful things, renewed my faith in research.
