Sherry the dosage of Acetyl L-Carnitine that I take is 500mg a day and also 500mg of the Alpha Lipoic Acid. They are very good antioxidants . Since vitamins are looked down as an afterthought by most physicians, there is no recommended dose. I'm having good luck with these doses along with my other antioxidant, minerals, enzymes, and vitamins that I take at least twice a day. I split my vitamins up throughout the day just like taking a prescription in order to keep my blood levels elevated so I can still put in a 16 hour day with my Parkinsons. A lessor dose may be just fine for you . Trial and error works pretty good with vitamins and note the energy improvements or not. I also take Tyrosine which I believe every Parky and non-Parky should take. Fantastic energy sustainer. If you want any more info, Email me off list to talk about in depth nutrition with Parkinsons. I dont do drugs.
