Abstract Deadline: Jan 1, 2009 The International Margaret Cavendish Society will be meeting at Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR June 18-21, 2009. The theme of the conference is Margaret Cavendish and Nature. The keynote speaker will be Stephen Clucas of Birkbeck College, University of London. Abstracts of no more than 300 words on the theme of the conference or related topics are welcome. From Corvallis, it is easy to reach the Pacific coast of Oregon, the majestic Cascades, and the wine country, which boasts some of the best Pinot Noir in the world. The internationally-known Oregon Shakespeare Festival is about three hours away in Ashland and Portland is one of the best cities for eating and exploring in the West.
