I'm confused. Isn't Comtan supposed to ease you through the 'off' times, between doses of Sinemet? My doctor drew a sketch of a wave with higher peaks and more space between peaks, and said that was what Stalevo is like. Stalevo, I thought, is a combination of Carb/Lev and Comtan. And he drew one representing Sinemet CR, showing lower peaks and less 'off' time between doses. I wasn't having any 'off' times between doses. He switched me from Sinemet CR to Stalevo the other day, and it didn't do half as well as the Sinemet in controlling my tremor, etc. I didn't even experience any peaks or off times, it was just all bad. So I called him yesterday and his secretary, naturally, got back to me and said that I should go back to the Sinemet and Dr. would prescribe a lower dose of Stalevo to go along with it. I'd like to know what the Dr. is thinking, but I guess he's too busy these days. This is not the only issue I have had with this neurologist... Randy V., thanks for the welcome. Enjoy!
