Welcome to the listserv, Reagan. If you have basic skills on the computer,
there is a world of info, both here and on the web, concerning stem cell
research. My opinions are that all types including embryonic, as well as
cloning, gene therapy, etc, should be supported, and I'm glad that our
president-elect supports reversing the Bush-era limitations. There is a
ready supply of excess embryos which otherwise are simply discarded by
fertility clinics. These can and should be used to create new lines of stem
cells for research. While research does hold some promise, I feel that
development of effective treatment of diseases is still in its embryonic
stages. I'm not holding my breath for a cure for my PD, but I know it will
come. Take advantage of the resources you find on this list, and get
Googling!

Subject: Research information?

Hello....New list member here.

I am very interested in finding out information about any recent research
advances that have been made in regards to Parkinson's treatment. In
addition I would be interested in hearing opinions about the potential of
stem cell research in regards to PD.

Thanks
