Hi listmates, may i ask a question please, my dad (73yrs old) who was diagnosed with mild parkinsons since 2000 had an appointment with his neurologist recently.  The neurologist said that my dad is depressed and that in his opinion the reason why he stopped being able to walk alone & why he cant use the toilet independently in the last 8 months is due to this depression.  (which he will treat with anti depression tabs) Has anyone any experience with this depression thing causing limited functions please?  All exrays & mri scan showed that the cells are exactly the same as before when he had some independence so the parkinson's has not progressed.  I cant believe that depression would cause this.   Thank you for any ideas or insight you can share with me on this topic.  Catherine
