"Hypnosis works with anyone who wants it to work, for many things--but--as
usual your own mind rules/controls your own body and if you do not want to
be hypnotized--I understand that it is almost impossible for someone to do
it."

I had a few hypno sessions in the mid-80's related to smoking cessation. I
already knew I didn't *want* to quit smoking. But I think my hypnosis
sessions didn't work just because I'm a tireless skeptic. Sometimes, "How
do you know?" comes out of my mouth before I even talk to anyone in the
morning. I think being a good subject in hypnosis requires that one suspend
one's disbelief.

This is a fundamental departure from actively participating in music. Of
course, anyone has to be motivated and really pursue music long-term to get
the best benefits from it. But there is no requirement of belief or
disbelief. You're participating in a realtime, physical, hands-on activity,
as opposed to a psychological mindset.

Enjoy!

Most hypnotists will tell you that --up front--before they start. So, It
seem's to be a life saver for the majority of those who want it and a
waste
of time for those who do not.

Music therapy works in about the same way. It is used for lots of reasons
but like hypnotism if you do not really concentrate and want to listen or
participate--it too, is a waste of time and money.
