Well here I am at home after my bi-lateral dbs/ppn surgery, and I have to say so far it has been a mixed set iof results. In my "off " state I am now able to walk albeit slowly ,without losing balance or falling over(a big plus) However my L-dopa medication ( Madopar) no longer has a beneficial effect, in fact it now has a negative effect in that it seems to imobilise me to the extent of making it impossible tto walk or even to get out of my chair. I am due back at hospital on April 1st, but may have to go back sooner if nothing improves. If anyone wants more details don't hesitate to ask.
