If you click the link to this man's site, in the headline it says ADULT stem cells. I've been spending some time on Twitter and tumblr, and groups opposing ESC research are a presence there, carrying on about Dr. Levesque as if he were the second coming and equating ESC research with infanticide. It's true what you say, Ray; every time ESC research comes up for reconsideration there is a PR blitz asserting the success of adult stem cell therapies for Parkinson's patients. I find this limited, utilitarian view very strange. Even if adult stem cells were efficacious in treating PD, I'm sure we would still have much to learn from embryonic stem cells. Why throw those cells away rather than study them? As for Mr. Wolf, how remarkable that we haven't heard of him before.
