Hello,

I am new to this list. I have two brothers with very similar symptoms. One
brother has had what I believe is parkinsons for the past 6 or 7 years. It
started with tremors of his right hand and has progressed to an unsteady gait
and very deliberate movement. He refuses to see a doctor and receive a
diagnosis.  Another one of my brothers has just been diagnosed with Multiple
System Atrophy.  My questions are:

1. Is there any relationship between Parkinsons and MSA.
2. If my brother with parkinsons (or what I perceive to be parkinsons) really
has MSA.. how could 2 brothers have what is supposed to be a rare disease
and is also not supposed to be heriditary?

Thank you for any advice you can give me.
Pat
