Carline has used Amantadine in the early stages of her PD. It helped
reasonably well, but a undesirable known side effect was swelling of the
ankles which eventually became red and it looked like the blood was
oozing through the skin.. This eventually became bad enough that she had
to stop using it.
Type the name into Google and a number of sites will come up. This is
one of the sites: www.rxlist.com/symmetrel-drug.htm.
Symmetrel is the other name for Amantadine.
