Hi Nic
Like you I am NOT grateful for PD.  I didn't like AV fistulas or cancer 
either.  The fact that it could be worse, like Huntington's or being in an 
in iron lung,  does not help me at all, but kudos to those who are grateful 
for their afflictions.
