Maryse, Some Amish do now use pesticides, although no more than any other farmers.  (And, as I said, none of the Amish I knew used pesticides.  They just thought it was wrong to do so.)  Also, many of these Amish farmers are returning to what we call "organic" farming, which for them traditionally has simply been the proper way of farming.  Plus, only about ten per cent of Amish are farmers these days.  These facts do not rule out pesticides as a cause of PD among Amish people, but it cannot explain why such a large percentage of Amish would have PD.  Scott
