Can't agree more. Each visit
Dear Dr Chew and the rest of the friends,

Can't agree more. Each visit to the doctor with my mum makes me feel that we are just there to be subjected to all the tests and the confirmation of "yes..you need to add more drugs into your system". One doctor in one of the hospitals in Singapore was so nice only on one occassion when he wants my mum and her children to give our blood for his research. That was the final draw for me to switch my mum to another doctor.

Am really grateful for all the unconditional advices and care that the friends in this list offer.

Shan

Dear Moneesha

You are absolutely right. There is no point in saying something nice to the Parkinson's patients if it does not come from our heart.

Empathy and compassion for the Parkinson's community are seriously lacking in my country. Based on my own experience, even some of our NGO's who claim to love Parkinson's patients are actually doing it for their own personal gains - I guess it is hard to find people who are truly compassionate.

But I am very happy that the PIEN is going on well - it is one of the best ways for the world Parkinson's community to reach out to and care for each other.
