I;d urge those of you thinking about a Brio, to research it carefully. Medtronic has a proven track record with 40,000 IPG's implanted, they also have an improved IPG Out now that is rechargeable. Benabid was the inventor of DBS. He was trained in sterotactic surgery by Dr.Ronald Young, who went on to become one of the top 5 DBS surgeons in the world, in my estimation.
All I found on the internet was a press release from an INdian tech site. Does anyone have the manufacturers website URL?? DOes anyone know their contact spacing, the number of contacts, the range and spacing of contacts? are their leads shielded or not? For how long and how often does it need to be recharged?

The exciting new breakthrough to me is UCSF's realtime MRI! THis allows Dr. Star to get a perfect lead placement, the first attempt! This seems to give a much better, predictable result as opposed to Micro Electrode recording.
