Dr. Thomas Davis as a young movements disorder neurologist was one of 
our earliest contributors on Parkinsn.

His institution, the Vanderbilt Medical Center in conjunction with 
the National Library of Medicine takes you through what they do in 
preparation for DBS. This was last year when this video was produced.

If you were one of the early DBS patients, it will be interesting 
what they are doing at Vanderbilt as well as at the other teaching 
hospitals that have been on the leading edge of technology. At the 
teaching hospitals they localize the placement of the probes based on 
micro-electrode recording.

The frame they have developed seems to be a big improvement over the 
original Leiksell (another former list member)frame.
