When Diane and I started replacing Murray, who just posted links, I copied, cut and pasted and plain texted articles to the List so members wouldn't have to open an extra link without knowing if they had any interest in the article. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION but I think the List got in trouble with the 1998 post because everything is archived and if you do a search sometimes the archived entries come up. How else would someone find a "copyright violation"? Nobody is making money out of this. As I examine the posts, I notice that only a few have the copyright warning. Don Reed wants me to post his columns. I don't think copying parts of the congressional record legislation would constitute a violation. John told me that some sites do a synopsis of the article. So, in the future I will only be posting links with comments (when I can) to help you decide if you want to open it or not, unless it is something like Reed or the cr. Paul, I do understand, my hands are like paws too, this was why I copied stuff, to make it easier. However, as you learned, opening a link did have its benefits. For those of you like Carl who don't want any of them, hold the left control (ctrl) key down and highlight my posts, then delete them all at once. I try for a variety of PD related topics, usually avoiding ones that are overly technical or I can't understand at all. I never know exactly which articles will be most appealing or useful. I have received a wide variety of requests for info and/or help. Diane and I will be glad to do what we can, but don't wait too long as I don't save much of this. When I first went online I hard-copied everything. Now it is hard to remember what happened yesterday. oh yes, we are not supposed to include attachments in our posts.
