When I first went to a Neuro in early 1999 with tremor he said it could be
essential tremor or Parkinson's. He gave me a drug to take for two weeks
(don't remember what), saying that it would mitigate the tremor of essential
tremor. When it didn't mitigate in the two weeks, he gave me Sinemet (don't
remember strength or frequency) and it mitigated the tremor almost
immediately. Seemed to be a diagnostic technique of sorts at least in recognition
between ET and PD

1. there is no "test" for PD. The only way it can be diagnosed is with
observation of symptoms. (usually over an extended period of time.)
A flouro-dopa PET scan can usually confirm the diagnosis.

2. he very possibly could have Essential Tremor(ET).
