Amen. What's at least mildly encouraging, Ray, is that many of the politicians whose views these folks represent have resently publically disowned them. Now, how does any of this this relate to PD? (This really isn't "non-PD.") According to NPR, at least one fourth of the mortgage failures that largely caused our recent economic meltdown were due to homeowners having medical bills that ate up their finances. According to (apologies for not jotting down the source, an independent research team) a reputable source last week, 62 percent of bankruptcies in the US last year were caused by medical bills. PWP, like a lot of other Americans, know what medical bills are! And we have nincompoops like those to whom you referred broadcasting venom like, a makeover to our health insurance system is not necessary, that global warming is a farce, etc., etc. Nobody appreciates free speech as much as I do, but I somehow missed the paragraph in the First Amendment that says "Liars please disregard." Everyone who knows me understands that I relish a healthy debate, the foundation of which (on both sides) is based on facts. We all might draw different conclusions from facts, and that's what keeps a debate balanced and productive. When one side bases its argument on fact, the other on fiction, though, no debate exists. Free speech is a wonderful thing. What amazes me is its abuse. Scott Scott E.
