Wow, Jen, I'm sorry to hear that.  I thought I was "young" when I found out
at 52.  :)  But I am relatively new to this PD game too and struggling to
figure out how long I can/should keep working.  We work in related
professions -- I'm  a librarian and currently work as an associate dean at a
middle-sized state university.

My favorite "medication" is exercise. I've found that regular exercise is a
great help.  I use an elliptical machine by Precor and the Wii Fit Plus --
which I love because of all the feedback features.
