As A general rule , and not to be dismissive , PD is an idiopathic disease i.e. no known cause. As such we are all searching for a cause as to why us. Chelating is a chemical process that basically describes the preferential bonding process that generally occurs within a chemical , biochemical for us. Iron is the most use chelating agent although mercury or in fact any of the transition metals can be a chelating agent. It would be more than simplistic to infer that this process is the cause of PD.
