Linda - My first symptoms were neck/shoulder pain. I had a bulging disk -
not unusual for a forthyish person. I have had epidural (steriod) shots in
my neck. The relief lasted about 5 years but unfortunately that wasn't the
whole problem. I was finally dx with PD and cervical dystonia. It is not
uncommon to have both diseases. I see a movement disorder specialist and get
Botox shots every three months in the neck and shoulder area. The chronic
pain is still there and I use an anti inflammatory drug like Naproxen
and/or sometimes Vicodine
because it is very deep and painful. Massage therapy is good as is yoga.
Feel free to contact me personally...I have been through it all for many
years! Dona Sullivan
