The big problem after discovering dopatherapy is the medical world considered PD treatable whereas there was practically nothing for other neurodegenerative diseases. On top of that, it was considered a disease of old age so why spend too much time looking for a better treatment? In fact not much was known about PD until about 15-20 years ago. One just has to look at medical books about PD of those years. Between the ´60s when dopatherapy was discovered and around the ´90s, a lot of time has been wasted.
