Thanks for all your suggestions everyone.

I have had a number of run-ins with neurologists is the past, and wish to provide the new ones with a concise but accurate description of my father's current state, before we meet.

Hence my wanting to talk to them at their level.

My father has three very clear symptoms which are on the whole indicative of how he is on any given day, and are most important in terms of his quality of life;

(i) being his cognition, including short term memory, intellectual interaction and lack or presence of hallucinations

(ii) being ambulation, which is his ability to turn when walking

(iii) being the freezing, where he simply stops and cannot take that next step.

All other physical symptoms are secondary to my father's quality of life, so I want the neuro to focus on thea bove which in any event probably follow the same pathways as the secondaries, so anything that helps (ii) and (iii) will probably help the other symptoms.

It seems to me that "freezing" and "ambulation" are the most commonly used terms, so I will proceed with these.

Thanks again

Robert

Hi, Robert -

I think postural instability might be the answer.
