Hello all, My name is Myrna D'Ambrosio. I've just joined this mailing list because my husband was diagnosed with PD about a year ago. He is doing pretty good on Ropinirol. It took a while for me to want to reach out and join a list or support group so here I am. I do not sell, nor do I take either of these products at this time, but I can give you a little information on the product you are talking about. It is a whey protein that provides the specific amino acids that allow your body to produce Glutothione. I know about it because my mother took a product called Immunocal which was produced in Canada by a company called Immunotec. Immunocal is practically the same as the Max, but Immunocal has US Patents and is listed in the Physicians Desk Reference. She sold Immunocal for quite a few years (when she was in her 80's) and then switched to another company called Feel Good Nutraceuticals (sp?). The product they carried was called AISMax. She then took that product for a couple of years until she died in 2007 at the age of 89. One of her friends who was taking it had been diagnosed with Macular Degeneration and after he was on the product for a while, the doctor could not find any sign of the Macular Degeneration. She switched to the Max, not because it was better, but because it was the same product by a company that gave her better commissions. Last year my son was diagnosed with Lymphoma and I know that a lot of cancer patients have had very good results from taking the Immunocal and the Max. So I wrote to the woman who was my mother's sponsor because I could not find AISMax anywhere on the web. She told me it was a different company now and didn't go into a lot of detail about why. She also gave me the name of someone in her downline that would sell me the Immunocal, but my son decided not to take it. I think that the MAX GXL that you are talking about is the same product. I myself preferred the Immunocal to the Max. Again, I have no monetary interest in providing this information, just a desire to be helpful. With that said, here is a link that might be more informative regarding the Whey Protein powder and Glutothione. _http://www.immunotec.com/IRL/Public/en/USA/ProductSheet_Immunocal_US.pdf_ (http://www.immunotec.com/IRL/Public/en/USA/ProductSheet_Immunocal_US.pdf) Myrna D'Ambrosio Rhode Island In a message dated 3/19/2010 1:01:48 A.M.
