I wonder if any of the PD sufferers on this board experienced lessening or
disappearance of symptoms of PD. My wife (69) was diagnosed 2 years ago with
PD.

Here are changes my wife experienced:
1. stiffness of arms when walking. About 6 months ago she got abt. 50%
movement in her arms back while walking
2. her small handwriting disappeared and she writes almost like normal
3. In the beginning she had a hard time going down to bed and getting in the
position to lay down. Now it is still a little slow, but way faster than 2
years ago.
4. A year ago -for about 2 months - she was unable to talk on the phone with
our kids or friends for more than 5 minutes. Now she can talk as long as she
wants.
5. she can walk more than a year ago.
6. At times, particularly in the evenings, there are no tremors at all
7. Her imbalances are less lately.
8.brainfog disappeared/

After hesitating for 1 1/2 years she finally went on Mirapex last
October (with terrible hallucinating side effects)and changed to Sinemet in
November. She takes 3x daily 1/2 tablet of 125mg strength. She has taken Dr.
Coleman's(Australia) naturopathic recommendations for 1 1/2 years now and
also takes Dr. Paneri's ayurvedic medications from India for 9 months now.
We are staying away from junk food and eat mostly raw now, no alcohol.

Sinemet is probably helping, but some of the symptoms lessened before she
started taking it. .

Most disturbing still are tremors (more visible in the mornings), weightloss
(down from 108 to 93lbs), some imbalances and a reduced brain capacity.

I would appreciate to get some opinions.

Thank you.

Dirk
