Les, we bought two lift chairs for my husband during the course of his disease. When he was functional, the first one was OK. By the time he needed the second one (more expensive than the first and had additional padding), he spent more of his day in that chair. Within no time at all, he found it too uncomfortable. During the last five years of his life when he was severely impaired (he had a coronary, bypass surgery and several bouts of septicemia), we bought him a Lazy Boy recliner - which we still have. That recliner was *much* more comfortable for him. It completely infolded him to the point where he could spend all day in the chair if he had to. It was the best purchase we ever made for him. I had a lift device to move him out of the chair, however, which made a big difference for both of us. --------- Mary Ann (CG Jamie 68/28 with PD died 11/20/07) >I need opinions about which is the best lift chair.
