I always thought my DBS keeps me depression free although I know electrodes 
are in STN.  I was depressed for a short time after my recent surgery.  I 
also heard "they" are working on making electrode placement more specific to 
PD symptoms, instead of potluck with STN or globus pallidus. (Sp??)

Wish I had something concrete to report.
