Anyone planning a research trip to London after 30 April 2011 may be interested in this newly renovated flat available for rent: BLOOMSBURY FLAT AVAILABLE FOR RENT FROM 30 APRIL 2011 16 Bevan House, Boswell Street, London WC1, UK This is a small 2-bedroom flat, 3rd floor walk-up, located on a relatively quiet street just south of Queen Square in Bloomsbury. There is a fairly spacious living/dining room and a small but fully functional kitchen, with washer/dryer and (small) dishwasher; bathroom has tub/shower. The flat is owned by Doug Arrell, a recently-retired professor of theatre and drama at the University of Winnipeg, and his partner, Dick Smith, a Winnipeg physician. It is fully furnished and renovated. Our hope is to rent it informally to Canadian and US scholars doing research at the British Library, which is about a 20-minute walk away. The flat is a 5-minute walk to the British Museum, about 10 minutes to both the Russell Square and Holborn tube stations, and no more than half an hour to anywhere in the West End or to the National Theatre.
