yes, but it is not easy.  I get  social security disability of $153/month 
cut from the $5 or 600/month I earned because, thanks to Ronald Reagan, I am 
a "double dipper"  - I get a poverty level teacher's pension.

you'll most likely need a doctor's detailed report and most people are 
refused on first social security try.  you really have to prove you're 
disabled.  they'll probably find something they think you can do.  show how 
your symptoms  keep you from doing your job satisfactorily.
