A large part of this article was written by a friend who feared revealing her name would jeopardize her disability approval, and she requested to remain anonymous. She actually went through the appeal process. On the other hand, I was approved the first time I applied. I worked with the APDA administration and a lawyer (who to this day has it posted on his website) and this article was published in the APDA Young Onset Newsletter, Fall - 2003.
