The Institute will be partially closed from July of this year to
sometime in 2013 so that the entire premesis can be renovated from tip
to tail. (Over the past 2-3 years the entire south wing of Senate House
has been under renovation and now its the turn of the north wing.)
About a third or a quarter of the collection will be available on open
stack on the south wing of the third floor of Senate House, adjacent to
the Universirty Senate House Library. The rest of the collection will be
available by request from storage elsewhere in the Building, and it is
anticipated that, with limited staff, it may take up to an hour to fetch
particular works. The reception desk, manned as usual by Beresford and
Glen, will also be relocated to the third floor, south wing. Seminars
will be re-located and are expected to continue. The very first stages
of this process, the move itself, will require the complete closing of
operations for the month of August of this year.

    Thanks for passing this on!
